Definite article in newspaper titles in Chicago 18

Chicago 18 says that it now recommends including the definitely article (in italics) in running text if it is part of the masthead. But in 14.89 all of its examples of newspaper and magazine references omit the definite article, as in previous versions of CMoS. I've got Zotero set to Chicago 18, but the endnotes are including the definite article. Is there a way to change this, other than going in to each individual record and delete the definite article?

Zotero/CSL just print the Newspaper title as you have it in the metadata (and always have); I don't think this is changing anytime soon (though note that Zotero 10 has batch editing that'd make changing this in the items themselves quite fast)
