Retrieve old files and notes in new account

Accidentally I made a new account, and instead of removing the new one, I deleted the old one. Very stupid. But in any case. I tried to get my original files back, since the desktop app still had my old account installed.

With syncing off, I retraced my original files and made a backup from them. I connected the new zotero account to these files, but zotero only recognizes them as part of my old account. If I upload them in the desktop app, I cannot sync zotero then any more with my new account. And I want to be able to sync zotero for other online tools (like Consensus)

What I did now was move a copy of the original .rdf file in the new zotero folder. I got my library and collections back. However, many references lost the link to pdf and my notes. This means I need to redownload many papers and book chapters and accept the loss of notes, which is very sad.

I wonder whether there is a way to retrieve my pdfs and notes form my original back up and connect them to my new account, without this syncing problem (that zotero recognizes it as files from my old account).

Does anyone has an idea?
