Problem syncing with WebDAV, error 217262414 and [solved]
Hi,
Maybe not a Zotero problem. Reporting just in case and in case other people finds a similar one or it is useful for the developers (and odd situation, though).
I set up my own WebDAV server and it has been working nicely up to now. Now I get a red exclamation mark with the text (translated from my Spanish interface):
JavaScript Error: "Error: Your WebDAV server returned an HTTP 401 error for a GET request
If you repeatedly receive this message, please check your WebDAV server configuration or contact your server administrator.
URL: https://zotero:********@reprobio.unileon.es/zotero/8FNPHSFI.zip" {file: "chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/storage/webdav.js" line: 1814}
The WebDAV server is synchronizing other files, and when I run that line in the browser, I can download that file. I can access the server and directory and all (permissions, etc.) is fine.
I get this error in different computers. The only cause I can think of is that some days ago the server went down and I was working in Zotero in both computers. Then I switched it back to life and this problem started.
The problem only stopped when I removed the insulting files from the server (.zip and .prop). Interestingly, no complaints about attachments not present in the server (no more 401), only the typical popup when trying to open references with lacking attachment, indicating that it cannot find the attached file. I have more than 18k items, around half of them with attachments, no problems.
