Zotero 10.0.6 (macOS): How to copy an item's internal key without opening a PDF preview?
Hi,
I'm using Zotero 10.0.6 on macOS and would like to retrieve the internal Zotero item key of a parent bibliographic item (not its attachment key or Better BibTeX citation key).
I'm looking for a built-in GUI method that doesn't require installing plugins, accessing the database, using the API, or changing settings.
Could you please clarify:
Does Zotero 10.0.6 include a built-in Copy Item Link command, or an equivalent way to copy a zotero://select/library/items/ URI?
If so, what is the exact menu path or keyboard shortcut on macOS?
Can this be done without opening the PDF attachment or Zotero Reader?
When selecting the parent bibliographic item, is there a way to prevent automatic PDF preview loading in the Info pane?
I'm particularly interested in distinguishing between selecting a bibliographic item and triggering any automatic PDF preview or background PDF loading.
