zotero on mac - not installing word add in as bundle

Had a few people in my organization recently have issues with installing Zotero on the Mac.

The Word add in is not installing successfully as part of the bundle.
When they manually try and install fonts. The Zotero site menu. Zotero does not have access to the correct folders for installation.

We are having to separately give Zotero full disk access to allow the installation.

Is there going to be an update that removes the need for this??

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. Can you provide a screenshot of what you're referring to?

macOS restricts apps from copying files into other app's folders, and the Word plugin needs to be placed in the Word Startup folder. So you either need to grant permission for Zotero to do so or perform a manual installation each time the plugin is updated.

But you certainly don't need to manually grant persistent full disk access. In macOS Sequoia and earlier, it should ask for permission to access other apps' data, but that's a permission that lasts just as long as Zotero is open, and it's only used to allow Zotero copy the Zotero.dotm file to the Word Startup folder. In macOS Golden Gate, Zotero 10 will show a file picker opened to the Word Startup folder, and once you click the Install button, the system will continue to grant access to that specific folder for future automatic updates.
