Prioritizing highlights / underlines within color groups

I'm not sure if this is the right place to bring up this idea for an improvement / added feature, and if there is a better place please let me know! But for now I am going to open this idea to the forums and see if there is any other interest in the idea. It might very well be that I am trying to make Zotero work for my specific annotation/study style that others don't share.

In using Zotero for annotating papers, I find a lot of utility in assigning colors to certain terms or ideas: highlighting key phrases and underlining sections that pertain to them, gathering quotes for specific lines of argument, etc. However, especially for the former case but also with the latter and others, I run into the problem where the main term or argument that defines the color category is not the earliest annotation in the paper. This means that, when sorting by color, I do not have the guiding or primary annotation at the top of the navigation sidebar but somewhere in the middle (or even near the bottom, since I do a lot of academic reading where the conclusion is read first or second).

I don't know how difficult it would be to implement, but having the ability to "pin" certain highlights/annotations/sticky notes so that they show up at the top of the navigation sidebar would make the organization of my notes and annotations much simpler. Is this something other people would find useful? Would it be ridiculously difficult to implement?
