Critical Data Loss: Zoplicate batch merge deletes items and notes in Zotero 10

I am writing to report a critical data loss bug with the Zoplicate plugin in Zotero 10, specifically regarding the batch merge feature.

When I click "Batch Merge Duplicate Items" in the "Duplicate Items" view, it does not merge the records as expected. Instead, it completely deletes some duplicate items. This has caused me to lose references I have already read, including the important notes I had stored in those entries. This is extremely frustrating and a serious risk to my research data.

I suspect this might be related to another issue I'm experiencing: Zoplicate does not trigger a popup when I import references from CNKI, so duplicates are silently added. Because I have to process them manually in the "Duplicate Items" view, I end up relying on the batch merge function, which then destroys my data.

Is this a known compatibility bug with Zotero 10? Is there any way to recover the merged/deleted notes, or should we completely avoid this feature? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
