UI Label Inconsistency: Menu entry changes from "Preferences" to "Settings"

I noticed a UI wording inconsistency when accessing the app settings/preferences. Upon first open, the menu entry is labeled "Preferences", but after clicking, it permanently changes to "Settings", and when I repoen Zoreto, it turns to 'preferences' again.

Step to reproduce:
-open zotero
-topbar -> zotero -> preferences
-close the preference window
-topbar -> Zotero ->Settings...
-reopen zotero
(turns to 'preferences' again).

Environment:
OS: MacOS 15.7.9
Zotero: 10.0.4

Is this dynamic label change intentional or an expected cross-platform behavior?
