Sync problems ...

Unable to sync for several weeks now. Tried variations of syncing to no avail.

It would be useful if the error message contained a clickable URL to the forums.
  • Provide a Debug ID for a sync attempt that produces the error.

    Also, hover over the progress bar during the sync to see if it's making progress. You may just have many files, and Amazon (which underlies the storage system) sometimes returns errors. You may just need to keep syncing until it uploads everything.

    The number reported on the error message is the number I referenced on the very first line of my post. I just assumed that it was the number you wanted but it seems that it must serve some other useful purpose.

    The progress window reports:
    Progress: 8%
    Downloads: None
    Uploads: 36,075KB remaining (37/38 files)

    I also cannot cancel the storage sync.

    Finding the Debug ID requires some sleuthing that just isn't too obvious to a non-Zotero employee and barely computer literate, cranky 64-year old.

    Nevertheless, I'm now pleased to report that the Debug ID is D473949932.

    The ability to post images to the forum may also be useful.

    I provided a link with step-by-step directions for providing a Debug ID. Did you not see the link, or did you find the steps confusing?

    Is the count in Uploads going down, or is it static? Because a 35MB upload will take a number of minutes to complete.
  • It's been stuck on the following all day:

    Progress: 4%
    Downloads: None
    Uploads: 33,322KB remaining (32/33 files)
  • What seems to be happening is that after it has sent a bit of data to the Zotero site it just hangs. In the hope that it will be of assistance, I submitted another error report: ID 160304221.
  • If it's stuck, stop and restart the sync or restart Firefox. There are no Zotero errors in that report.
