my server-stored pdf files won't open in Zotero anymore -- after update to 9?
I'm pretty sure this happened when I updated to Zotero 9. I use (and have for over a year) used the ZotMoov plugin to successfully keep my PDF files on a OneDrive server, and I no longer keep those PDFs locally.
ZotMoov still works. Any records that I have added to my library using Zot 9 (i.e. within the last week or so) can get the PDF file from OneDrive no problem. But if I try to open an older than 8/20/26 (back when I was on an older Zot version) I get a "file cannot be opened" error in finder, and a blank screen within zotero. The file is still on the server though, not corrupted, opens fine.
So...should I just update to 10.0.1? I see "Fixed database access on network filesystems on macOS and Linux" in the update description dated 8/24 -- 4 days after I updated to Zot 9!
Or should I do something to try to fix the problem in Zot 9.0.6 (my current)?
The only global change I tried was Settings > Advanced > Files and Folders. There was no attachment base directory listed. So I did that. Restarted. Didn't fix the problem. Newer files (post 8/20) still open. Older files (the 2000 plus in my library pre 8/20) don't.
Thanks for any help!
