Upgrade StorageZotero 10.0.0 hangs on “Loading items” on Ubuntu 24.04 after update
I'm experiencing a reproducible startup/hanging problem with Zotero 10.0.0 on Ubuntu 24.04.
After updating Zotero, the application remains stuck on “Loading items” and my library doesn't appear.
System: Ubuntu 24.04
Zotero: 10.0.0
Installation: zotero-deb package from the Zotero APT repository
Library: /home/rainbringer/Zotero/
I verified the Zotero database with:
sqlite3 zotero.sqlite "PRAGMA integrity_check;"
which returns:
ok
The library itself is intact. I can start Zotero from the terminal with zotero, and in that case the library sometimes loads correctly. However, launching with --url consistently hangs on “Loading items” ("Cargando elementos...")
I also reproduced a hang when opening a linked item (an item without a Zotero-managed PDF attachment).
I completely removed and reinstalled the zotero package, but the problem persists.
Relevant messages from the terminal include:
Sandbox: CanCreateUserNamespace() unshare(CLONE_NEWPID): EPERM
and:
Missing chrome or resource URL: chrome://zotero/skin/16/white/loading.svg
The Debug ID for the startup problem is:

The last debug messages before the application stops progressing were:
Starting full-text content processor
Registering notifier observer 'fulltext_s1' for [sync]
Expected behavior: Zotero should finish loading the library and display my items normally.
