Upgrade Storageios beta read aloud issues
Hi,
I'm assuming this is the right place to post about the read aloud beta for iOS which I have on my iPhone and iPad. I've only just downloaded this but I've encountered a few problems already. Before I launch into problems I should say that I absolutely love this feature and I'm looking forward to it improving. Having read aloud available on my phone means I can walk the dog and catch up on the latest publications!
Issues:
- Initially you can select both the level and the voice that you want to pick. However, after initially selecting it, I cannot seem to find a way to change the voice to a different one (for standard). On the settings screen I see "No voices found for detected language English in this tier ...". When I switch from Automatic to English THEN I see the choices again.
- I selected premium and then exhausted the amount of time. I was unable to return to standard because every time I tried to enable read aloud it would fail to initialise. I eventually downloaded Zotero from the App Store, and then reinstalled the beta over the top of it to get it working again.
- I cannot seem to tap on a paragraph to advance like I can in the Mac OS version. I can hit the plus and minus buttons, but this is tedious especially if the PDF is very long.
- Additionally, there seem to be large pauses in many places when I'm listening on my iPhone on occasion.
