Upgrade StorageCitations are not clickable in my exported PDF, but headings and figures are

I am writing my master's thesis in Word with the Zotero plugin, using APA 7th, and I export it to PDF for submission.
In the PDF, the table of contents entries and the cross-references to figures and tables work as links: clicking them takes me to the right place in the document. The Zotero citations do not. Clicking on something like "(Maurischat, 2024)" in the text does nothing, and I cannot jump to the matching entry in the reference list.
Is there a setting I have missed, or is this simply not something Zotero does? If it is possible, I would be grateful for the steps to follow.

Word version: Version 2607
Operating system: Windows 11
