Upgrade StorageZotero Android: For large PDF documents, search stalls and won't get rid of highlights
I have a 500 page PDF, yes, that's large, but it's what you might expect from something like (say) a large data or grant report or a textbook that just gets scanned and dumped onto the web.
I try to search in Zotero Android and two problems occur. First, the search tries to show me letter by letter results, so say if I search for "ribosome", I get
(30 seconds later) Results for "ribo"
(30 seconds later) Results for "riboso"
Etc.
The second issue is that the highlights persist in the document even after I've stopped searching with no apparent way of dismissing them. So now I have a document with hundreds of highlights of "ribo", and no way of getting rid of that.
Stock Android PDF reader doesn't seem to have a problem with this. It will stall on the search, but it will highlight the results and then dismiss the highlights when I close the search window.
