Upgrade StorageChoppy pinch-to-zoom with MacBook trackpad in PDF reader

I would like to report a performance issue with the built-in PDF reader.
System information
- Zotero: 9.0.6 (ARM64)
- Operating System: macOS 26.5.2
- Hardware: MacBook with built-in Force Touch trackpad
Issue
When using the built-in PDF reader, the standard two-finger pinch gesture on the MacBook trackpad to zoom in and out is not smooth.
Instead of responding continuously to the gesture, the zoom frequently stutters, briefly freezes, or updates in noticeable steps. As a result, zooming feels significantly less fluid than in native macOS applications such as Preview or Safari.
The issue occurs consistently with different PDF files.
Steps to reproduce
1. Open any PDF in Zotero's built-in PDF reader.
2. Use the two-finger pinch gesture on the MacBook trackpad to zoom in or out.
3. Notice that the zoom animation is choppy and does not follow the gesture smoothly.
Expected behavior
Pinch-to-zoom should be smooth, responsive, and continuous, similar to native macOS applications.
Actual behavior
Zooming is jerky and occasionally appears to lag behind the trackpad gesture.
