Upgrade StorageOption to move/copy annotations from one PDF attachment to another
I had accidentally linked the wrong PDF to an item, and made highlights and notes on it before noticing the mistake. Now I want to move those annotations to the correct PDF attachment under the same item.
Currently, annotations are tied to the specific PDF file's page coordinates, so there's no way to directly move or copy them to a different attachment.
The only workaround is to manually replace the file on disk (matching the file name) to "trick" Zotero into keeping the same attachment — but this requires technical know-how, and if the page layout differs between the two files, the highlights end up misaligned on the wrong pages.
Suggestion: Adding an option (e.g. via right-click menu) to copy or move annotations from one attachment to another — ideally with some text-matching to realign positions when possible — would greatly improve the workflow. This scenario (realizing after the fact that the wrong PDF was linked) seems like a fairly common occurrence.
