Upgrade Storage"Import Annotations" makes PDf file bigger
I highlighted text and added written markup with an ereader and synced the PDF file with my PC. As expected, the marked-up PDF jumped in size from around 4-5MB to 7MB. To my surprise, after hitting the "Import annotations" in Zotero on said PDF, it again got bigger (12MB). How can this be?
My understanding is that Zotero takes the highlighted Text, which is originally embedded into the PDF, and saves it internally in Zotero, which should theoretically make the file smaller.
