    Have you tested in troubleshooting mode? Most recent memory issues were plugin related

    And if it does happen with all plugins disabled, if you have multiple large PDFs open, it's still possible for Zotero to just use 3 GB of memory. It's not a memory leak unless you're seeing it go up as you use Zotero and never come down, even after you close tabs and wait a little while.

    We've made some major improvements in reader memory usage in the Zotero 10 beta, so you'd want to try that.
