footnotes appearing with broken underlines and not cross-referencing (REf number 1962217583

My Zotero footnotes all of a sudden started appearing in a weird way on my document, with broken underlines through the citation and they no longer cross-reference (see photo attached)

I do not know what caused this or how to fix it. I have re-started the app several times and it still is not working as it used to. I need help please.
