"Create new collection" not working.

Please help! I cannot create any new collections (although have been able to in the past). Neither the button over the left column, nor right-clicking, allows me to make any additional collections. When I hit the button, or right-click, the normal box comes up asking me to name my collection, but when I click "okay," nothing happens. No new collection.

I should note, the one odd thing I've noticed is that after I *try* to make a new collection, Zotero doesn't seem to be able to sync. Each time I've attempted making new collections (on different days), it appears to sync fine until that moment, but sometime shortly after, I see the red exclamation mark appear next to the sync button (I have it set to auto sync).

Does anyone have any help to offer? Thank you!

    So to recap - you're still giving the option of creating a new collection, but they don't show up once you've created them, right? And that's your local Zotero where they don't show up, not your library on the web, correct?

    My first guess would be to try to disable any other Firefox Add-ons and restart FF.
