Master document error using Linux, FF 3.6, OpenOffice, Zotero 2.0.3
Zotero throws error messages up when attempting to refresh the bibliography for a master document. Dissertation w/ >200 sources, in case that is relevant.
Debug Report ID 572555299
Previously this worked fine. I use Zotero and OpenOffice on several different OS and several different computers. All sync OOo and Zotero files via Internet.
Today I decided to update the bibliography in the master document and had errors. Long debugging file; please read.
In order, I attempted to
(1) close and re-open the master document,
(2) reset the Z preferences of the master document-- more errors
(3) reset the Z preferences of the child documents -- no problems
(4) create a new master document w/ the same child documents-- more errors when bibliography inserted
(5) insert bibliographies into child documents-- no problems
In the past, using Zotero from different platforms has created errors w/ communications to FF. For example, using Zotero / OOo on a Windows machine to create the file, then updating the bibliography on a Mac has created errors. I have not tried updating the bibliography on a different OS to see what results.
Thoughts?
Thanks to Zotero developers and support folks! Zotero is the best.

adamsmithfor what it's worth, I don't think master documents have ever worked (well) with Zotero.

benmazzottaThanks adamsmith, I have had no problems on 32-bit operating systems with Zotero citations in OOo master documents. The master document works on other computers. I just can't update in 64-bit linux.
