Upgrade StorageUbuntu/MATE: "Add Item(s) by Identifier" dialog disappears when pressing Ctrl

I am using Zotero on Ubuntu 24.04 with the MATE desktop enviroment.
I have the option "Show position of pointer when the Control Key is pressed" option enabled in the MATE Mouse Preferences.
When I try copy an identifier and paste it in the "Add Item(s) by Identifier" dialog, the dialog already disappears the moment I press the Ctrl button.
The problem disappears when I disable the "Show position of pointer when the Control Key is pressed" option, but I would prefer to keep it enabled.
