Zotero-update not possible

Hi everyone,
I'm using Zotero version 7.0.11 (64-bit) on Windows 11. I've been trying to update Zotero for a while now, but the software says I don't have the necessary permissions to do so. So I switched to the administrator account and tried there, but when I clicked “Help” and then “Check for Updates,” the search ran on endlessly and never finished. Also, the software no longer works with Microsoft Word. I don’t know how to do the update. What can I do to ensure that updates are performed automatically in the future?
