Zotero proxy redirects https://archive.org/ and I don't know how to disable it

Whenever I try to access archive.org, Zotero automatically redirects it through my school proxy, resulting in an error page.

I looked at the Configured Proxies section under preferences to try to disable this redirection, but I can't find archive.org under the list of hostnames.

Does anyone know how I can disable this? Thank you.

Can you provide a Debug ID from the Zotero Connector for reproducing this?
  • I just submitted one: D1932505283

That's from Zotero, not the Zotero Connector.
  • Oops, sorry. Here it is:

Your debug output shows you loading the URL of your university proxy, without Zotero performing a redirection.

Did you reproduce it with all extensions other than Zotero disabled?
  • I just disabled all other extensions except Zotero connector. Now, there is no redirection when I go to archive.org, but when I try to access another website where the connector should activate the proxy, like springer.com, I get the following error message:

    Example Domain

This domain is for use in documentation examples without needing permission. Avoid use in operations.

    Here's the debug ID: D1586091589

That just means you have example.com entered somewhere in your Zotero proxy settings (I think "Proxy login URL").
  • I see. I figured out that it is not the zotero connector but another university library extension that is doing the redirecting. Thank you.
