Parent items lost after latest update

After the latest update this morning many of my pdf's have lost their parent item. What happened and how can I fix this? It are a lot of pdf's to create new parent items for.

Apparently when I remove items they don't end up in the trash can, but somehow they go to 'unsorted items', and when starting at 'my library' these items are shown. Again sorry for raising this useless question.

If you press the Delete key on an item inside a collection, it only removes it from the collection.
