Upgrade StorageZotero Word integration error: “An error occurred while updating your document”
Hi,
I’m repeatedly getting an error when using the Zotero Word plugin on Windows. The error dialog says:
An error occurred while updating your document.
Would you like to view troubleshooting instructions?
This happens when working with Word documents. I initially suspected a network drive issue or the old Zotero Version 9.0.4, but I can reproduce the problem with documents stored locally as well.

Zotero: 9.0.5 x64
OS: Windows 11 26200
Microsoft Word: Version 2605, Build 16.0.20026.20168
What I have checked so far:
The issue also occurs with locally stored Word documents, not only with files on a network drive.
Zotero is updated to version 9.0.5.
Word is the current Microsoft 365 build listed above.
What would be the recommended next troubleshooting steps? I manually removde and reinstall the Word plugin template, or is there additional debug output I should provide?
