Create Bibliography from My Library Collection in Zotero 9

How do I create a bibliography from my collection ‘My Library’ in Zotero 9 on behalf of my thesis? After right-clicking on 'My Library' in the collection list a windowpane appears with ‘Export Library’. Clicking on this resulted in an extra collection ‘My Library’ in the collection list with a right-angle bracket in front of it. After right-clicking on this new ‘My Library’ a windowpane appears with i.e. Create Bibliography from Collection. Clicking on this results in a bibliography from 'My Library'. However, since I tried these two times yesterday, the original ‘My Library’ collection now has every title in it three times after today's update? This is a rather elaborate way to create a bibliography; moreover, I must undo the multiplication in the original collection! I’m sure there must be an easier way. Can somebody help me with this, please?
