Zotero won't launch?

I am having trouble with Zotero on my work computer (which requires IT administrator to install). The app is present in my programs, but it will not open. The file size is 209 MB, version 9.0.4, and my system is Windows 11. Our IT department cannot figure out why the program will not start - does anyone have any suggestions?

    I'm afraid your IT department would have to figure that out by checking system logs, etc. This would usually be due to security software silently preventing Zotero from running.

    (We received one other report of this the other day, and the person reported that the 32-bit version — available from the download page — still works. You don't really want to run that version, but it's something you could test.)
