Bug caused by placing a footnote containing a citation immediately after a citation in body text

I am using LibreOffice Writer with the Zotero plug-in, and I am using an author-date citation style in my current document. When placing a citation in the body text of a document and adding a footnote immediately after this citation, and if this footnote itself contains a citation, then the citation from the body text will go into the footnote and mix in with the citation from the footnote. This happens regardless of whether the citation in the footnote is at the beginning of the footnote or not.

Maybe this has something to do with the fact that some citation styles use footnotes. I tried it with several author-date styles and the bug occurred with every one of them.
