Unable to Log In to Zotero App
Hi,
I am on a university-managed desktop system. It uses Cloudpaging Player to provide apps to desktop systems. The Zotero version that was installed was too old to sync, so I updated Zotero through the app and tried logging in to sync by clicking the link on the welcome page. I entered my username and password correctly, but it kept on saying the username and/or password are invalid. I tried multiple times, and I tried restarting both Zotero and the Cloudpaging Player as well.
Here is Debug ID: D1811428072.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Click "Set up syncing" on the welcome page.
2. Enter username and password.
3. Click "Set Up Syncing".
Thanks.

dstillman Zotero TeamAsk your IT department to upgrade you to the latest version of Zotero. For security reasons, older versions are no longer able to log in for syncing, except immediately after a successful password reset.

s-agarI updated to the latest version of Zotero myself already. Also, yesterday I was on a different system and updated to the latest version myself, and I was able to log in. I did create my account yesterday, though.

dstillman Zotero Teamedited 5 days agoNo, you're running Zotero 7. The latest version is Zotero 9, which doesn't even have a username and password field in the settings.

dstillman Zotero Teamedited 5 days ago(If you were on a very old version, you would have to update multiple times from within the app to get onto Zotero 9. But you're also still on the 32-bit version, so you should just install the 64-bit version of Zotero from the download page over your current version. There would be a banner within the app telling you that.)

s-agarOh I see, thank you. I checked for updates and then updated once and thought that would get me to the latest version, but checking again shows that I can still update to 9.0.4.
