Zotero freezes when inserting citations

The app randomly started freezing whenever I was trying to insert the citation. I thought the issue is related to starage deprivation, however, even after emptying space, the issue still persisted. I have tried disinstalling the app, and the connecter; quiting the browser and the app and entering again; restarting the computer; it still freezes and shows {Updating} instead of the citation. My software is macos tahoe 26.4.1, zotero version 9.0.4 and debug id is: D441158396

    How large is the document, and how long have you waited?

    Does it work in a new, empty document?
