Groups appear in desktop app but have disappeared from web

Several of my groups no longer appear on Zotero online. They still appear in the desktop app, and in the list that shows on the Web Library. I have had these groups for a few years. For the last year, they have been dormant. I noticed this issue today because I wanted to add new members to one of the groups. But it (and several others) no longer appears in the list of groups on Zotero.org under the Groups tab. These libraries still appear in the desktop app (Mac) and in the Web Library online. I am logged into desktop and online with the same account. When I hit "sync" on the desktop, the circle moves only for a second. But I can see that all the files in my Web Library match the files on my desktop. How to fix this issue?
