too many book sections in a book and a large file
I use Zotero and have hundreds of sources with their original PDF files attached. Some of these works are book chapters. For example, a single edited volume may contain around 20 chapters, each written by different authors, along with one or more editors.
At the moment, I have added each chapter separately as an individual “Book Section” item. However, the PDF file I have belongs to the entire book and is a very large file.
Is there a way in Zotero to upload the PDF only once and associate it with multiple book chapter items? Ideally, I would like to have something like a parent item for the whole book, and then see the individual book chapters listed underneath it in the Zotero library pane.
Is such a structure possible in Zotero, and if so, what would be the best practice for organizing edited volumes and their chapters?

bwiernikIn this situation, I make a separate item for the whole book and connect the Book and Book Section items using the Related Items feature. I only attach the pdf to the Book item.
