Font switched to gibberish - Zotero unusable

Hi,
the font of my library and in-app navigation is gibberish. I asked several LLMs, which told me to uninstall and reinstall. I tried several times, the gibberish does not convert back to normal. My online library remains intact. What can I do?

Try restarting in Troubleshooting mode, which is the third option from the bottom in the Help menu, which in turn is the rightmost top menu:

(For future reference, LLMs are shockingly bad at Zotero; I'd stay away from their advice -- here it just wasted your time, in other instances it can be actively destructive)

Note that Troubleshooting Mode isn't intended as a permanent fix for anything. You should manually disable any plugins and try restarting in normal mode. If this is still happening in normal mode, there's something wrong you'll need to fix.

What OS is this?
