Bug Report: Untranslated built-in column label “License” in Simplified Chinese UI

edited 3 hours ago
Hello Zotero team,

I would like to report a possible localization issue in Zotero 9.0.3.

# Issue
When Zotero is set to use Simplified Chinese, most of the interface is correctly displayed in Chinese. However, the built-in column label “License” in the item list remains in English.

# Environment
Zotero version: 9.0.3
Interface language: Simplified Chinese
System language: Chinese
Operating system: Windows 11 Pro
Windows version: 25H2
OS build: 26200.8039

# Steps to reproduce
Open Zotero 9.0.3.
Set the Zotero interface language to Simplified Chinese.
Restart Zotero.
In the item list, right-click the column header.
Enable the built-in License column.
Observe the column label.

# Expected behavior
The column label should be translated into Simplified Chinese, for example: “版权”

# Actual behavior
The column label is still displayed as “License”, while other Zotero UI elements are displayed in Chinese.

# Additional information
I disabled third-party plugins and restarted Zotero, but the issue still appears. Therefore, it seems to be related to Zotero’s built-in localization rather than a third-party plugin.

Could you please check whether this string is missing from the Simplified Chinese localization?

Thank you for your work on Zotero.
