Zotero won't open at all
Zotero 9 (and 7 either) suddenly won't open any more (neither from the Taskleiste nor from the .exe file) on my Windows 11 Education (Version 25H2). Therefore I cannot provide a report ID.
It might be but I am not quite sure since I have been experiencing the problem since last week, that it might have followed
a) an update to Zotero 9
b) a simultaneous running of the desktop app and the web client
I tried multiple times:
- reinstalling version 9 (and 7, in case the problem would be gone then)
- rebooting
- renamed the local data file (in case it was faulty)
- followed the instructions for reporting startup errors - to no avail
There is no response whatsoever when trying to open Zotero.
I would be very grateful for some help on the matter. Thanks a lot.

dstillman Zotero TeamIs this an institutional computer? Are you running any non-standard security software? If so, you should ask your IT department.
