Zotero 9 insert citations randomly on google doc

Hi, I was updating my citations today after updating to Zotero 9. After inserting 1 new citation, Zotero randomly inserted citations throughout my doc, even replacing words. The outcome is very messy and I am not sure how to fix it. Any advice???

I have no idea how that could possibly happen (Zotero devs might, but especially since this is the only report so far it's quite mysterious), but you should be able to restore a prior version in the Google Doc version history.
