Add to note error

Report ID: 1304807639

In a file that has existing highlights added through another app, when opened in Zotero, if I add a new highlight in Zotero and choose Add to note that new highlight, the selected text jump to the highest existing highlight (and all existing hightlights are locked and can't be modified in Zotero).

When Add to note a selected text (not highlight), things work normally, no jumping or scrolling happens.

Does anyone experience the same issue?

the selected text jump to the highest existing highlight
Can you provide a screenshot of what you mean?

Annotations embedded in the file would always show as locked unless you use File → Import Annotations to transfer those to Zotero.
  • @dstillman For example, I have multiple embedded annotations on page 2, 3, 4, and I add to note a new highlight from page 30, the scroll will jump up to page 2 to the location of the highest embedded one.

But thanks to your suggestion, I imported all the annotations and it works fine now.
