After recent update (2026-05-11) Zotero not syncing properly ticket: 1785742522

Greetings. I recently installed a Zotero update (early May 2026) and now my library doesn't finish syncing with Zotero. I pay for the full unlimited account.

I've tried logging out and back in, and restart the computer and zotero and all of the above.

The problem meanwhile is that it seems to count down the items it is syncing and then at the end it has some kind of error or problem.

The ticket I put in is:

  • Files above 4 GB are not currently supported
    Not related to a Zotero update. You're trying to upload a file larger than 4 GB, which isn't currently (and has never been) supported.

    Paste BFY72CBS into the search bar in All Fields & Tags mode to identify the attachment in question (likely some sort of video).

    Ahh that's brilliant. Thank you for such a speedy response and I should have known better and not to rely on correlation with the update and rather than look farther into the true causation!
