Hotkeys for Citation Window?

The new citation window allows me to use my keyboard to expedite citation processing (less clicking), which makes things more efficient. But it there a way to use my keyboard to navigate the actual citations I want to use?

Say I choose Rousseau's Social Contract. I want to add the page number just from my keyboard (no mouse clicks). Is that possible? (same re: prefix, suffix, omit author, etc.)

Yes, that's one of the main benefits of the new dialog for previous classic-dialog users.

Use left/right to select a citation bubble and down-arrow to open the citation popup. The locator field will already be focused if you want to add a page number, and you can Tab to the other fields. When you're done, press Return/Enter twice to close the citation popup and add the citation to your document.

If you only need to add a page number or other locator, you can do that without opening the citation popup at all:

  • If you have multiple items added to the citation, you may also use Home and End keys (fn+left arrow and fn+right arrow on macOS laptops) to jump to the start or the end of the input field.

That way, you can get to the first item by pressing Home (to place the cursor before the first item bubble) followed by right arrow (to focus the actual item), instead of going through every item by pressing left arrow.
