Having letters a, b after a citation

Hi, there is an article that I cite multiple times in a word document, and all the in-text citations would appear with an "a" after the citation (e.g., Smith, 2015a).

I see multiple discussions on this and followed the recommended steps. I re-inserted all the affected citation by choosing them from the library, checked the uris of all of instances of the citation (they are all the same), and made sure there is only one entry in the Zotero library of the article. I also changed the citations to another format and changed it back to refresh the citation.

Currently, all of the in-text citations show as Smith, 2015a, there is no Smith 2015b. However, when I generate the bibliography, it still shows a separate entry for 2015b. How can I locate the rogue citation in my document?

Thank you!

I followed steps outlined here: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/116457/how-to-fix-the-a-and-b-after-the-year-but-there-are-no-duplicates

Toggle Word field codes, search for the item's title or creator, and inspect the id or uri. You should find one that's different.

If you're having trouble with that, temporarily change the existing item in some clear way (e.g., add "TEST" at the beginning of the first author) and follow the last step on Troubleshooting Errors in Word Processor Documents — cut the document in halves and insert a bibliography (or Refresh the existing one) until you find the section that generates a bibliography entry without that change.
