Upgrade StorageScanned PDF documents are not opened properly

Every once in a while I open some PDF files which are actually scanned documents. Zotero partially renders/displays pages in such documents. However, when I open the same document in Adobe, the display is smooth and without any issues. I am using v9.0.1 and had the same issue in previous versions. Sometimes it takes a while for the document to load completely but in most cases, it doesn't display the text. Is this a known issue ?
