Zotero Connector trying to save many items for one webpage

I'm trying to save https://super-memory.com/articles/sleep.htm with Zotero connector for both Firefox and Chrome. In Chrome, after some time, Zotero opens a dialog box "select which items you'd like to add to your library" and there appear to be 50 plus items. I was wondering if there's a way for zotero connector to identify this as a single page or single document? Thanks.

By the way, I initially tried to save this to zotero online without the desktop application open. In that case, it fails silently so it was a bit confusing.
  • These are the DOIs of articles cited on the page. Save it as a webpage by using right-click on the "Save to Zotero" icon --> Save to Zotero --> Save to Zotero (Website with Snapshot)
  • I see, thank you! I primarily use the Zotero Connector extension via Firefox Nightly for Android, which does not support right clicking extensions. I assume there isn't another way to choose the non-default save choice in this case (which would be nice to have). For similar reasons I've had to copy online Zotero credentials via the config editor to sign in on this mobile browser.
  • I don't think there's a way to do this on mobile, no (this whole thing is a bit clunky; the ability to scrape DOIs from the page is super cool&userful, but also very confusing when you don't expect it. Zotero has long talked about better options here, but it's a significantly challenge to do this both with consistently useful default and non-confusing UX)

@ryanwwest: To be clear, we don't declare the Zotero Connector as compatible with Firefox for Android, and we haven't tested it. How did you install it?

(We do hope to make a version that's compatible at some point, since it will improve upon limitations of the share-to-app functionality, which is more limited on Android than iOS.)
  • For sure. Full extensions on Android are in their infancy - for example, Kiwi browser supports Chrome extensions and Zotero Connector also works there with the same right click caveat.

For chrome Android browsers like Kiwi or Ultimatum, I used the chrome web store. For Firefox, I think I installed via the xpi file. In both cases, the extension functions perfectly normal if you can get around no right clicks (and of course it doesn't find the Zotero desktop application running on-device, so I can only save to zotero.org).

Also, some android browsers supported more limited mobile extensions. I avoid those browsers. I believe Firefox Nightly is currently required.
