Help Fixing Error with Updating Zotero Citations in Word and Clipboard

When I try to update a Zotero citation in my paper on Microsoft Word, Zotero will sometimes replace all of the numeric superscripts with the last thing I copied to my clipboard (e.g., I had copied a DOI from an article and, when I went to update a citation in my paper, it replaced all of the superscripted citations in my paper with the DOI). I've tried restarting Word and Zotero. How do I prevent this from happening?

    If you have software that provides clipboard history or similar functions, it's likely interfering with Zotero Word plugin. Try disabling it and attempting to cite.
