Authentication problem with copyparty WebDAV server

  • I seem to also have encountered this behavior with a different webdav server. In some circumstances, zotero does not seem to behave like a proper webdav client which may cause issues with certain webdav servers in regards to requesting authentication headers.     That's not how WebDAV works — it doesn't need to send a particular User-Agent string to be a "proper WebDAV client".

    But also, since last December there've been changes to both Zotero's UA string (which now includes "Zotero/") and HTTP authentication behavior (addressing changes in the underlying Mozilla networking library around preemptive credential sending), so any reports or logs from then aren't relevant. If you're still having trouble in Zotero 9, you'd have to provide a Debug ID for Verify Server as requested in the thread you posted to.
