Correcting a Retractiona Watch error

Apparently there has been an error made by Retraction Watch which has caused Zotero to tag an item in my Zotero database as a retraction when, in fact, it is not.

The original (and correct publication) is:

Olivero, J., A. L. Márquez, and R. Real. 2013. Integrating Fuzzy Logic and Statistics to Improve the Reliable Delimitation of Biogeographic Regions and Transition Zones. Systematic Biology 62:1–21. https://doi-org.simsrad.net.ocs.mq.edu.au/10.1093/sysbio/sys061

The publisher made a mistake and republished that paper in 2016 as "accepted for publication". They promptly rectified the error BY RETRACTING THE DUPLICATE publication. See the retraction notice at https://doi-org.simsrad.net.ocs.mq.edu.au/10.1093/sysbio/syw061

However, my Zotero database is now infected by a big red notice stating that Retraction Watch says that the ORIGINAL publication was retracted. This is grossly wrong. How can I remove this mess from by Zotero database?

It seems to be an upstream error. Retraction Watch appears to have mistakenly marked the ORIGINAL paper as duplicated. See the entry in the csv data file (downloaded from https://gitlab.com/crossref/retraction-watch-data on 17 April 2026) where the original paper's DOI is given as the item being retracted. Maybe they need to retract the retraction notice.

In the meantime, is there any way to remove the annoying and incorrect big red retraction notice from my Zotero database?
