Page numbers for "book section" citations (Linux Mint Cinnamon)

I need to cite an entire book chapter for a bibliographical discussion. I want the title of the chapter to appear in the citation, not just the book title with page numbers. I have created a "book section" citation, and entered the page numbers, but these don't appear in the citation. I'm a historian using Chicago style formatting. I'm pretty sure the journal article format will cite this correctly, or I could just add the page numbers to the book section citation, but I'm just confused why page numbers don't automatically appear, when pretty much any citation style would require this info, and there is a box for it when making the citation in the library. What exactly is the purpose of the book section format? I don't know why I would ever use this if journal article performs the task better. Is there a way to tell it to include this?

I'm still learning the software, in the middle of typing several papers, so while it's pretty frustrating, I also realize there are useful features I'm not aware of yet. I just learned what "prefix" and "suffix" were for, and that has solved a big problem I was having! Anyway, I won't have time to read through all the site before these are due, but I didn't see a post about this in particular. Appreciate any insights!

Could you give us what you are currently getting and what you would like? There are lots of variants of Chicago Style and I don't quite follow here.

Do note, though, that if you want specific pages to appear in text Chicago style, you'd typically add them to the citation, not just the item in Zotero.

Finally, for some reason the Chicago Manual's 18th edition removed page ranges from book chapter citations entirely. You'd still get those in the 17th edition
