Feature request : add a button to the magic wand ("add item by identifier")
Hello, and thanks for the work to all developers.
Zotero is really great and just keeps on improving!
The "Add item by identifier" seems to have no GUI option to send the input. (I may be mistaken — sorry if I just missed something in the docs.)
Since the UI is quite mouse-centric, and there is no native shortcut to activate the button, one is often led to use the mouse. I believe it would make the most sense from a UI point of view to add a mouse button to validate the field.
---
To illustrate the (small!) problem, here is a typical sequence of usage.
1. In an other app, copy an identifier (ISBN, DOI) to the clipboard
2. Go to Zotero
3. Click the magic wand, which requires the mouse (or a very niche use of tab-navigation that I believe many people do not practice).
4. Paste the identifier, either by:
4a. exiting mouse logic altogether – ctrl+V -> then having to press enter, on the other side of the keyboard.
4b. mixing mouse and keyboard – right-click, paste -> then press enter (with, presumably, the left hand reaching to the right)
In both case, the movement is quite strange. A keyboard+mouse logic (à la Photoshop) should strive to have all keyboard commands on one side of the keyboard and complementary commands via the mouse.
I hope I make my case clear! I understand this is minute, but I’m pretty sure many that use the wand would benefit from it, and I dare guess it is trivial to implement to anyone familiar with the code.

I’m sorry for the disturbance, and thank you for pointing out the option, I’ll use it!
