Reports sorted by date...

Howdy. First time poster, I think. I'm working on a (for me) massive project which I hope will lead to a book. I have collected about 2000 articles/entries in my Zotero database and the "generate report" function produces great little "index card" summaries of everything I've collected. The only drawback is that the html page it generates sorts entries alphabetically. Now, I've tried other options. I've exported to CSV, sorted the resulting spreadsheet by date, and tried to do a mail merge to generate the custom index cards I would like. Unfortunately, there is some discrepancy in the date formatting that is not evident in Zotero (everything is either YYYY-MM-DD or just YYYY, and Zotero sorts them correctly). Additionally, when I try to go from Excel to the mail merge, a number of entries don't make it over for some reason. It says too many data fields or something, but the problem again is not obvious in the Excel sheet. What I'd very much like is exactly what the "generate report" produces but sorted by date. Is there a way to do that in Zotero, so I don't have to faff about with conversions and everything? Thanks very much! RJB
