Zotero Connector not working

I try to use the Zotero connector and it won't populate anything. I went through all the common troubleshooting steps. I used this link http://127.0.0.1:23119/connector/ping and it says Zotero is running. Everything is up to date in the latest version. I have no other chrome extensions running. I've cleared all my cache, restarted the browser, and uninstalled/reinstalled the connector. Nothing it working. Please help.
